What is Dots.eco?

Dots.eco is an environmental impact-as-a-service platform that transforms micro-casual actions into real-life environmental impact. We celebrate individuals who make a positive action on their companies, their lives, and the planet. We work with businesses who want to do good to the planet, and now through Flow, we are giving access to people like you to make a difference every month. How do you choose the positive impact you’re doing?

Our team of environmental scientists conducts a rigorous process to identify the most impactful and needed projects worldwide. They then partner with environmental organizations (see below for more information), establishing strong partnerships to support projects in the most critical areas of the world.

What can I do with the certificates received throughout my subscription?

Your certificates are your proof of doing. You can share them online with your community, track your impact through your unique ID, and collect them to accumulate impact through time.

What specific projects does the Flow subscription support?

The Flow subscription supports a diverse range of environmental projects, each critical in its own way. These include planting trees, protecting wildlife habitats, cleaning ocean plastics, restoring coral reef fragments, purchasing land for nature reserves, saving sea turtles, and protecting marine areas. We ensure that each project aligns with our mission of creating a significant, positive environmental impact.

What are Flow Points, and how can I use them?

As a token of appreciation, Flow Club members receive Flow Points each month. These points can be used for various exclusive benefits like sustainable treats and incredible discounts for eco-products. Flow Points are our way of thanking you for your commitment to the environment.

How does my subscription contribute to environmental conservation?

Your subscription directly funds our environmental projects. A portion of each subscription goes to our partner organizations, enabling them to carry out vital conservation work. By being a Flow member, you’re contributing to a collective effort that significantly impacts global environmental conservation.

Where can I check my impact to date?

“Your Impact Wall” is the dashboard where you can track all your impact. You can access it through your account to view all your certificates and see the satellite map showing the projects you’re supporting.

Can I gift a Flow subscription to someone else?

Absolutely! A Flow subscription makes a thoughtful and impactful gift. You can gift a subscription by selecting the gift option at checkout. The recipient will receive all the benefits of a Flow member, including monthly impact reports and Flow Points.

Are there different subscription levels available?

Your monthly subscription depends on the dedicated amount you wish to pay monthly. This payment will be the same every month unless you adjust your subscription.

How can I cancel my Flow subscription?

We understand that circumstances change, and you may need to cancel your subscription. You can easily do so at any time through your account dashboard. There are no hidden fees or complicated processes. Your impact will continue until the end of your current subscription period. If you’re having any trouble, feel free to contact us at flow@dots.eco.

How does Dots.eco choose its environmental partners?

Dots.eco partners with a variety of vetted organizations globally, ensuring a wide-reaching and effective environmental impact. Our partnering process involves several steps: screening and reachout, vetting and due diligence, and finally formalizing and onboarding our partners’ projects into the platform. Each step is marked by rigorous research of the potential partner and their impact-making practices.

Potential partners always go through a strict vetting procedure that evaluates their impact track record, transparency, effectiveness, governance, and alignment with our impact principles and goals. If they pass our rigorous vetting and due diligence process (a big if!), we then consider partnering with them and move on to discuss what our partnership would look like.

How does Dots.eco track and report the impact of my subscription?

Transparency is key to our approach. Every month, we allocate your contributions to the chosen cause and provide you with ‘Certificates of Doing.’ These certificates detail where and how your impact is made. Additionally, we offer constant impact status updates, allowing you to track the tangible effects of your subscription in real time. We work closely with our environmental partners, gathering field reports, status updates, and photographic and video evidence from impact activities. But we don’t rely entirely on that only! We also started developing a verification system using satellite images to check in on the projects that we help you support!

How do you have the money to make an impact?

Once you subscribe, we’ll receive your money and distribute it in 3 main ways. We’ll send 40% of it to our environmental partners focused on the impact (s) you’ve chosen. Another 40% will go to projects focusing on sustainability like green energy, regenerative farming, and circular economy. The remaining 20% of your financial support will be used for the operational costs of Dots.eco.
